SOCIAL IMPACT

Living Projects has a specialist division for film making in the built environment. We've worked with clients all over the country, capturing stories about them and their projects. The thing we enjoy most is to find and get to know the local people and end users to give them the chance to have their say through a very relaxed filming process. We call this 'community sourcing'.

We use specialist equipment and architecture friendly shift-lenses to correct perspective and shoot building elevations from tight angles, to show them and the people interacting with them in their best possible light. We make all kinds of films from short case studies, to awards mini-docs to mood pieces for architects and their clients to showcase their work in film.

Richard Mullane has been making films of many kinds for over 12 years. He formerly worked in the built environment promoting architecture, urban design and place making and has an MSc in Urban Regeneration. This background gives him a unique insight to the language and workings of the sector. Richard works directly with clients to develop stories, drawing out often technical details to communicate them to a broad audience, and most importantly to help all those in front of the camera to express themselves in the best possible way to tell their part of each story. The end results are films which we hope look great, keep people engaged, put across plenty of interesting info and most importantly retain a tangible human touch.

Here's a small selection of over 50 films we've made for architects, developers and NGOs over the past decade.
